Contract register
The Contract Register allows site users to 'Find a Contractor' listed on the site and to access their contact details or send a direct email to the Contractor.
This Register also offers member Contractors in Shearing, Crutching and Animal Husbandry the opportunity to list their 'Contractor Services' and contact details with a direct email link for return contact and to update their contact details themselves, as required.
Wool Growers are able to advertise 'Contract Jobs Available' with direct contact details and an automatic email link for Contractors and Growers to link up and consider the job.
This particular function is specifically designed to assist Wool Growers to access quality contractors and to spread the workload into alternative times of the year. By shifting their shearing to other times of year, Growers will be helping to provide much needed continuity of employment to attract and retain new workers in the industry which is essential to ensuring a quality service sector to meet their shearing needs in future.
The hardest thing is not training new quality workers for this industry. The hardest things, is to find them consistent work so they stay in the industry and don't disappear to year-round employment in other industries. - Don Boyle, Shearing Trainer and President of the West Australian Shearing Industry Training Association Inc
In addition, Wool Growers can 'List Sheep & Sheds for Training' for use by training providers who are always looking for appropriate venues and sheep to use for training purposes.
